November Astrology: What Lies in Scorpio’s Watery Depths

November Astrology

November’s astrology begins with a New Moon in Scorpio on November 4th. The dark, watery depths of our unconscious lives in Scorpio, and the dark New Moon enhances this greatly.

Observation Before Action

Personal transformation is possible during this time, but be cautious before you act. Instead, it will be more advantageous to observe your thoughts, feelings, and urges before acting on them. Be aware of what is real and what is habitual in your inner world.

Be mindful of the tone of your internal voice and work to keep it positive. Scorpio deals with birth, death, and transitions, so the Full Moon will be powerful for manifestation. They may also be themes of shame that come up, which will correlate later in the month.

Relationships Come Into Play

Relationships may come into focus with a sexual, romantic, and marital energy infused in the first half of this month. This is particularly strong on November 7th, when the Moon interacts with the asteroid Juno. Then, on the 30th, this theme returns with the asteroid Vesta interacting with the Sun.

Mercury and Mars are conjunct on the 10th, which may leave us feeling restless. However, this energy will release by the 12th, and we get a sense of peace that lasts until the 17th.

Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus

On Wednesday, the 17th, Mars opposes Uranus in Taurus, continuing the theme of observation before action. This sets us up for the big event of the month: the Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. Expect the release of this Moon to be intense, and your finances may take center stage.

There is still death-rebirth energy as the Sun is still in Scorpio. The shadow cast on the Moon during the Eclipse will cast a red shadow on the Moon, amplifying this energy.

Medusa: Symbol of Female Power

Another powerful aspect of this Full Moon is that it aligns with the notorious star Algol. In the ancient past, Algol was associated with death and destruction as it is Medusa in the constellation Perseus. However, we live in a modern age with a female-empowered, optimistic view. Now, this represents the vilification of a shamed woman. Her vindication has come with time and a greater perspective. Medusa was a victim of a heinous crime, not the monster that history has embodied her as. By revisiting her story with the context of modern empowerment of women, we see that suffering gave her power. She is now a symbol of raw female power, a legend. Claim your power. Do not worry if others fear it.

Entering Sagittarius

Sagittarius Season arrives on November 21st and 22nd. We switch from the waters of Scorpio to the fixed fire of Sagittarius. It is an excellent time to be productive and creative, but keep it practical.
