Chakra - Third or Solar Plexus
Manipura, the Third Chakra, is also known as the Solar Plexus. Manipura is located around the navel and up to the breastbone.
The color associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra is yellow and its element is fire. This is our energy center and radiates vital life energy throughout our entire body.
The Solar Plexus is directly linked to your sense of self, associated with self-esteem, sense of purpose, personal identity, individual will, digestion, and metabolism. It is from this chakra that we assert our personal power, follow our gut instincts, take risks and make decisions. It is where we feel self-respect, confidence, and decisiveness.
In some spiritual traditions it is referred to as the “second brain." The basic issues affected include: intelligence, mental clarity, personal power, activity, autonomy, individuation, will, self-esteem, proactivity, and power.
