Scorpio Season: Embrace Your Inner Power

Posted by Abigail Hall on

As the leaves begin to fall and the air takes on a mysterious chill, the cosmos usher in Scorpio season.

On October 23rd, 2023, we leave Libra season and enter into the energy of the Scorpion.

Libra builds the social foundation on the surface, and Scorpio grabs your hand to pull you into the depths many are unwilling to explore alone.

Scorpio is intense.

It's probing.

It's engaging in conversations that leave you wondering if it went too far- or if you actually just aren't comfortable enough in your own depths.

Like the scorpion, Scorpio hides its vulnerabilities beneath a stoic exterior, ready to strike with intensity when the time is right.

It stands as the enigma of the zodiac, a sign steeped in mystery, intensity, and profound transformation.

As a water sign, it is deeply connected to emotions, intuition, and unconsciousness.

Just as the phoenix rises from its ashes, Scorpio is unafraid to confront its deepest fears, dive into the abyss, and emerge stronger and wiser.

It teaches us that true transformation occurs when we confront our shadow selves and are reborn from the ashes of our old identities.

This sign also possesses an irresistible allure that draws people to them like moths to a flame.

This magnetism is rooted in their deep emotional intensity, a reservoir of energy that exudes power, seduction, and secrecy.

Scorpio has an uncanny psychic sensitivity that can read between the lines, sense the unspoken, and tap into the energy of the unseen.

It understands that death is merely a passage to the next phase of existence.

The positive expressions of the sign guide us to embrace the inevitable changes in our lives and surrender to the flow of existence.

It reminds us that death is not the end but a profound metamorphosis, leading to new beginnings.

No wonder Halloween falls within this season.

This Month's Transits

We begin the season on a lovely note as the sun moves into Scorpio and immediately trines Saturn the following day on October 24th. 🪐

We then have our last Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on October 28th.

This is closing out a huge story that has been unfolding since November 2021.

It’s a perfect time to look back and review where you were during this time and how the story played out over the past year and a half.

It’s going to bring closure.

We're going to officially close that book and put it back on the shelf.

An important note about closure: it has nothing to do with anything happening or anyone else being involved and everything to do with allowing yourself to be free from whatever has been holding you back.

Closure rarely ever looks the way we might think it will look and our need to have a specific way of closure is often what holds us back from having it for so long.

Let go. Set it down.

Let yourself continue forward into the next chapter.

It's also happening near the North Node, so like all full moons- be weary of chaotic and impulsive energy.

This is a time to draw the blinds, relax, and not force anything. 🛀🏻

The Sun, Mercury, and Mars are all currently in Scorpio and are opposing this eclipse, so watch out for more intense energy and secrecy.

There might be an underlying feeling of mystery and unanswered questions coming to the surface.

You might not even feel this on a personal level but it is something to be mindful of.

Jupiter is currently in Taurus, so this planet also provides a sense of comfort and security to this sign as it goes through a massive energy surge.

On Halloween, Uranus trines Venus giving us strong, sweet, and socializing energy.

Saturn stations direct on November 4th which will bring a sense of security back through the air.

This retrograde is felt more on a collective level, however, those with strong Saturn placements often feel shaken up during this time.

Use this energy to evaluate where you might have allowed boundaries to slip over the summer and channel the power to course-correct.

Then, Venus enters Libra on November 8th. 🌷

This positive shift is going to bring lightness and ease after spending some time in the analytical sign of Virgo.

Mercury also leaves Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius on November 9th which will bring a sense of adventure and wisdom to our conversations.

After spending a few weeks plunging the depths of the waters with Scorpio, it will transition into a sign that genuinely wants to have a good time, laugh as hard as they can, and have conversations with anyone who will listen. 🪩

We then have a New Moon in Scorpio on November 13th.

We spent the past year and a half figuring out what needed to be released in whatever area Scorpio falls in our chart, and now we are able to set firm intentions for how we desire to move forward.

This is also going to be fused with motivational energy as we experience a Mars Cazimi on November 17th. ⚔️

The Sun and Mars will come together in Scorpio to amplify whatever intentions you set on this New Moon- so take the time to sit down and journal out what you would like to see unfold in the particular area of your chart.

Finally, the Sun moves into light-hearted Sagittarius on November 22nd and we transition into the holiday season.

The Dance of Life and Death

This Scorpio season is even more intense than normal because it falls during Eclipse Season.

Be patient and be wary of stepping too far over the line.

Scorpio embodies the Death tarot card, symbolizing the significant power of death and rebirth throughout life.

This is neither good nor bad energy- it all lies in how you choose to use it.

Eclipses and Scorpio energy can produce some of the most transformative periods of your life if you're able to see the bigger picture and choose to ride with the flow of energy.

Don't doubt the power of evolution.
