But energetically, it’s more helpful to think of aspects as relationships.
Imagine the planets as people in a room. The angle between them tells you how they are interacting. Are they collaborating? Challenging each other? Amplifying the same message? Creating something beautiful together?
Some aspects feel smooth and supportive.
Some feel tense or uncomfortable.
Some feel powerful or fated.
None of them are inherently “good” or “bad.” They describe the tone of the conversation between planetary energies.

When people first learn astrology, they often focus on zodiac signs and planets. But aspects are what truly bring a chart to life.
Two people might share the same Venus sign. Still, if one Venus forms harmonious trines while the other forms challenging squares, their experience of relationships, creativity, and emotional expression may feel very different.

Conjunction (0°):

Venus sextile Neptune enhances creativity, compassion, and emotional connection.

Square (90°): Growth Through Tension
Squares create friction between planetary energies.
This is the cosmic version of “we need to address this.”
Squares can feel uncomfortable or challenging, but they are also powerful catalysts for growth.
Example:
Mercury square Neptune may bring confusion, but also heightened imagination.
Venus square Saturn may test relationships while encouraging emotional maturity.
Squares push us to evolve.
Trine (120°): Natural Flow
Trines represent harmony and ease.

Example:
